Established in late 2018, Trepson Families and Children was born out of the necessity to support families in achieving self-sufficiency. Founder Trevina Jefferson's relocation to a rural Iowa town, known as a child care desert, led to extensive collaboration with local agencies and international corporations like Tyson Foods. Trepson helped spearhead the first multicultural children's festival in this rural Iowan county. After a two years of groundwork and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives, Trepson Families and Children gained resources to introduce more childcare services to bridge the gap in the community.
